The hotrod and the car chase have long been a central
theme to Hollywood movies. Bullit is probably the all time classic car
movie. Starring Steve McQueen, Bullit has the main character driving his
Mustang GT all over San Francisco at high speeds. Other movies with classic
car chase scenes include The French Connection (maybe the greatest single car
chase scene of all time), Smokey and the Bandit (made the Camero
a hot car), and Gone in 60 Seconds. Some good
car movies for kids include Chitty Chitty
Bang Bang (where the car flies) and the Herbie the Love Bug
series. The latest car movie, Cars from Pixar, is one of the best and a wonderful
movie for kids.
