Grace Kelly was an Oscar-winning movie actress who is perhaps more famous for becoming the wife of Prince Rainier III of Monaco and retiring from a great movie career. Kelly made three movies with Alfred Hitchcock : Dial M for Murder, Rear Window (Jimmy Stewart) and To Catch a Thief. Grace Kelly was awarded the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Country Girl. While it was being filmed, she engaged in a brief affair with co-star Bing Crosby, which was kept quiet to protect both their reputations. Other men she was involved with before her marriage include Clark Gable , Ray Milland, William Holden, Oleg Cassini,and Jean-Pierre Aumont. She reportedly was surprised to learn from Rainier that she was expected to give up her film career entirely, but followed his wishes. Grace Kelly appeared in just over 10 movies. |
