The 90s were all the rage for television adaptation
and this was no different for movies that were adapted from Saturday Night
Live (SNL) skits. Adapting SNL skits has resulted in some very funny
movies like Blues Brothers (an all time classic) and Wayne's World, but
also has managed to produce some of the worst movies ever (Coneheads and
It's Pat). Sometimes what's funny in a live skit just doesn't
transfer to the big screen. Anyway, it seems like the lesson has
been learned as there hasn't been an
SNL movie since 2000. I'm sure there will be more to come,
but hopefully they are more like Blues Brothers and less like the
others.
